Friends International
welcome to Colchester!

If you study Colchester, hello! Studying in another country can be great fun and very rewarding. But it can also bring challenges; a new language, a different culture, and getting to know new people. Friends International is here to help you enjoy your time in the UK to the full, helping you through those challenges and sharing with you in the good times. We would love to meet you! We organise many events for international students - places where you can make friends, practise English and relax :) There is information about some of these activities below. All of our activities are organised by Christian volunteers and open to all international students. The best way to get in contact is to come along to iCafe, our weekly Thursday evening café during term time for international students. More information about this is below.

iHome

Would you like to be invited into the home of one of our host families?

Friends International's hospitality scheme has been running for more than 20 years and for many international students, this has been the highlight of their stay in the UK.

Simply register your details and we will arrange for one of our hosts to contact you. You will then be able to arrange a suitable time with your host to go to their home for a meal and a chance to relax and socialise. If you want to bring up to 2 friends with you, just tell us their names when you register, and ask them to register too.

If you have any questions about this scheme, please don't hesitate to contact us.
